Aeration Kits & Systems

Keeping your pond or lake properly aerated is essential for maintaining clear water, healthy fish, and a balanced ecosystem.

Keeping your pond or lake properly aerated is essential for maintaining clear water, healthy fish, and a balanced ecosystem. Our Aeration Kits & Systems are designed to meet the needs of everything from small backyard ponds and aquariums to large ponds and lakes. Whether you’re looking for a compact diaphragm pump or a high-capacity rocking piston system, each kit includes the components needed to deliver reliable, efficient oxygen circulation—making it easy to choose the right solution for your pond’s size and shape.

Diaphragm Aeration Kits

Small Pond & Aquarium DIAPHRAGM Aeration Kit
  • Diaphragm air pump systems for ponds and aquariums
  • Range from 0.14 CFM to 5.3 CFM output
  • Includes air diffusers (5 in. to 8 in. sizes)
  • Energy-efficient design for continuous operation
  • Enhances oxygen levels and water circulation

Rocking Piston Aeration Systems

Large Pond & Lake ROCKING PISTON Aeration System
  • Air Compressor: 1/2 HP (3.9 CFM) or 1 HP (6.7 CFM) options
  • Weighted tubing lays on pond bottom
  • 10" EPDM micro-bubble diffusers with 3/8" barbs
  • Optional weather-resistant cabinet with dual fan cooling
  • Controls algae and eliminates odors

Sizing Your Pond for Effective Aeration:

Size: You can easily calculate the size of your pond using the following equation:
Length × Width ÷ 43,560 = pond size in acres.
If your pond falls between sizes, always round up.

Example: A pond that is 600 feet long and 120 feet wide would be calculated as follows:
600 × 120 ÷ 43,560 = 1.6 acres.
In this case, the best system for the pond would be the SAS2.

Shape: Round ponds provide more effective aeration than irregular or narrow-shaped ponds. Typically, one double diffuser per acre placed near the center of a circular pond will provide sufficient aeration. In contrast, narrow, long, or irregularly shaped ponds often require two or more diffusers to properly circulate the entire water volume.

It may be beneficial to view your pond from an aerial perspective using software such as Google Earth to better understand its shape.
